Perfect Bread

This bread turns our perfect every time! this is the perfect loaf for sandwiches, toast, croutons you name it. I guarantee you will never find a better recipe.

Makes: 3 loaves

Takes: 3hrs

Ingredients

  • 3 cups WARM water

  • 1/4 cup Caster sugar

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Instant yeast

  • 10 cups Bread Flour

  • 2 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1/4 cup Any oil

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tsp Melted butter

Instructions

  1. Combine water, sugar and yeast in a bowl, wait 15 mins.

  2. Add 4 cups of flour and salt to the yeast mixture and mix.

  3. Add in the oil and mix.

  4. Add in the rest of the flour and mix after each cup.

  5. Knead on a lightly floured benchtop for 15 mins.

  6. Leave to rise in a large bowl for 1 hour cover with a damp tea towel draped on top.

  7. Split the risen dough into 3 equal parts and shape into loaves, Let each of the loaves rise for 30 mins in a loaf tin.

  8. Preheat your oven to 180c while the loaves are rising.

  9. Brush the risen bread with melted butter and egg before putting them in the oven.

  10. When your oven is fully heated bake each loaf for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

  11. Let them cool before removing from their tin.

  12. Enjoy!
